Chelsea winger Florent Malouda has signed a two-year contract extension which will see him stay at Stamford Bridge until 2013.
The 29-year-old signed for the Blues from Lyon in the summer of 2007, but had a difficult first season with the club. He also had a poor start to the last campaign until the arrival of Guus Hiddink revitalised the Frenchman.
Malouda put in some great performances during the latter half of the season and starred in the FA Cup win over Everton. He has now been rewarded for his performances by new Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti.
"I am staying. I have four years left on my contract," said Malouda. "Every time the transfer window opens there are rumours and I hope in this one people will know what happened."
Malouda started his career with French minnows Châteauroux and Guingamp, before making the move to Lyon. The winger spent four hugely successful seasons with Lyon where he won four league title and three French Cups.
The Chelsea star is also an established member of the French national team and played a key role in their World Cup final campaign in 2006. He has won 44 caps for France and scored three goals.
