An article written by Angelina Jolie is set to appear in the annual edition of the Economist.
The publication's World In 2008 edition will include a piece by the Hollywood actress on the ethnic conflict in Darfur.
The 32-year-old star is a United Nations (UN) goodwill ambassador and has been involved in highlighting the plight of refugees in Sudan, Chad, Iraq, Syria and Pakistan. In the past, the actress has made large donations to funds to help those living in exile in makeshift camps.
Jolie's article in the prestigious publication speaks about the need for action in Darfur. She previously authored an opinion piece in the Washington Post which called for those committing atrocities in the western region of Sudan to be brought to justice.
The Tomb Raider star has spoken publicly of the need for intervention to halt the janjaweed militia from killing people in the area for ethnic reasons. The violence has claimed approximately 200,000 lives so far, according to the UN.
Additional contributors to the forthcoming edition of the Economist's annual spin-off include the president of France, UN secretary general Ban Ki-Moon and the Dalai Lama.
Jolie has four children, three of whom are adopted orphans from Cambodia, Vietnam and Ethiopia. The star also has a biological child with Hollywood hunk Brad Pitt.
