Hello! magazine has won a bidding war for the first photos of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's newborn twins.

Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Leon were born on July 13th in the Lenval hospital in Nice, France.

And having secured the rights to the first pictures of the couple's first biological daughter Shiloh, in 2006, Hello! has outbid rival celebrity magazine OK! for exclusive photographs of the new twins.

It is believed the magazine has bid around £5 million for the pictures, which it is thought Jolie and Pitt will give to charity.

The Tomb Raider star gave birth to Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline by caesarean section, with her obstetrician Dr Michael Sussman explaining earlier this month that he felt pressure during the birth due to the actress' fame.

However, he added: "The delivery was very emotional and exceptional as Ms Jolie is a superstar.

"Jolie and Pitt were always laughing and having a good time together, even during the birth operation.

"We had an excellent rapport. She is so, so nice and never complained about anything."

Jolie and partner Pitt are already parents to four children together: adopted children Maddox, six, four-year-old Pax Thien and Zahara, three, as well as biological daughter Shiloh, 21 months.
