Christina Aguilera has at last confirmed one of the worst kept secrets in showbiz - she's expecting a baby with husband Jordan Bratman.
Her father Fausto and friend Paris Hilton had already alluded to the 26-year-old's bun in the oven and now the singer herself has come clean.
Talking to Glamour magazine, the Beautiful star revealed her first child is due in the New Year.
When asked what her New Year's resolutions for 2008 would be, Aguilera replied: "That'll be about the time I enter into mommyhood, so... I'm hoping to have started a beautiful family with my husband!"
She said her music producer partner was delighted to be started a family, saying: "Oh, he's thrilled! He's just great".
"He's so supportive and amazing through everything. He came with me on the last leg of the tour and he was my support system... I gush."
"I'm a lucky girl," she added.
Hilton had let slip about Aguilera's pregnancy during a Los Angeles party for the singer in September, telling a packed nightclub audience: "Congratulations to the most beautiful pregnant woman in the world, you're gorgeous."
Aguilera's confirmation of her pregnancy came just days after Elizabeth actress Cate Blanchett announced she is four months pregnant with her third child.
