Former England head coach Sven Goran Eriksson is still considering a number of opportunities in the wake of his departure at the end of a disappointing World Cup.
The Swede's financial advisor, Lars Sternmarker, told Scandinavian newspaper Expressen that his client had yet to make up his mind about his next career move.
"I do not want to say which clubs have shown an interest. But Sven is still open to everything - national teams and clubs," he told reporters.
In a strange echo of the News of the World's sting operation on the former Lazio boss, Eriksson has most recently been linked to the vacant role at Aston Villa.
"Fake Sheikh" Mazher Mahmood pretended to be a prospective buyer of the Midlands club in order to lure Eriksson into making a series of revealing comments on his England charges and his own post-World Cup future.
Athole Still, who represents Eriksson, is now at the forefront of a consortium attempting to gain control at Villa Park and met with club officials yesterday.
Reports have suggested that if Still's proposal were to be accepted, Eriksson would be first choice to be manager in the new era.
The 58-year-old's stock seems to have fallen after England's dismal showing in Germany with Real Madrid passing on him as they searched for a new manager.
