Robinho was again on the scoresheet as Manchester City crushed Portsmouth 6-0 at Eastlands.
A rampant City went 1-0 up on 15 minutes when Jo rounded David James and slotted into an empty net.
Six minutes later, James fumbled a low corner from Elano and Richard Dunne poked the ball home.
Mark Hughes' men continued their free-flowing football in the second half with Robinho, who scored on his debut against Chelsea last Saturday, firing in from the edge of the box.
Shaun Wright-Phillips blasted in City's fourth with a strike at the near post and then produced a back-heel to set-up Ched Evans to make it 5-0.
Wright-Phillips was involved in the home side's sixth when he put James under pressure, allowing Gelson Fernandes to tap into an empty net.
Elsewhere, Everton came from two goals down to draw 2-2 at the KC Stadium.
Michael Turner gave the Tigers the lead on 18 minutes when he headed in a corner at the far post, with Marouane Fellaini on the line unable to keep the ball out.
Another corner from Dean Marcey saw Phil Brown's side double their lead on 50 minutes when his set-piece struck Phil Neville and went into the net.
Tim Cahill pulled a goal back on 73 minutes when his shot went in off the underside of the bar, but Hull held on to move into fifth place.
Five minutes later, Leon Osman converted Yakubu's left-wing cross from close range.
Elsewhere, Tottenham remain bottom of the league after a 0-0 draw with Wigan Athletic at White Hart Lane.
