England goalkeeper David James says that Italian manager Fabio Capello communicates with the team better than his predecessors.
James says there is a refreshing honesty with the way he talks to the side and that he has created an excellent atmosphere and sense of belief within the squad.
Capello and the England team have been praised heavily since their 4-1 win over Croatia on Wednesday but James says the manager will not let the team get ahead of themselves as there are still many more qualification matches to be played.
Writing in the Observer James said: "This is what I am most impressed with about our manager - his honesty. He says what he feels. He says it to us, and then he says the same to the media. He's prepared to put his view on the line.
"In the past we have had managers who have muddled communication. With Mr Capello you know exactly what you're dealing with down to the smallest detail."
Capello made four changes for the Croatia match fro the one which started against Andorra and James says the first team does not feel set in stone as it did under previous managers.
The Portsmouth keeper added: "He does not keep favourites, he just chooses the team he thinks will win."
James predicts that Capello's approach will keep the players' minds on the task at hand and that he will demand focus from the team in every match.
He said: "We are all feeling very positive right now, but it's still just two games into qualifying. I don't think for a minute the manager would allow us to get ahead of ourselves, and I don't think we would either.
"The difference this time around is the manager. There's a new approach to the way we're going to play and it's a good one."
England's next match is against Kazakhstan on October 11th.
