Lewis Hamilton is in confident mood heading into the world championship showdown in Brazil - despite qualifying in fourth place.
The Briton saw his main title rival Felipe Massa grab pole at his home Grand Prix and the Brazilian can snatch the title away from Hamilton if he wins the race and Hamilton finishes lower than fifth.
Massa has already started the mind-games ahead of the Grand Prix by insisting "the pressure is all on his (Hamilton's) shoulders because I have nothing to lose".
Hamilton was in a similar situation last year when he led the world championship heading into the final race of his debut season, but a terrible performance gifted the title to Kimi Raikkonen.
"Last year we came here and there was so much commotion so much going on I thought it had to happen here, do or die, this is the last race," said Hamilton. "Nerves were there, but I don't feel that this year.
"I feel good. In the last race I think I drove as well as I've driven for a while and I feel confident I can do that again. We are in a great position to finish the race where we are and to make some steps forward.
"Felipe needed to be on pole and all the best to him but I don't need to do anything spectacular - I just need to bring the car home for some good points."
If Hamilton is to win the world title then he will have to come to grips with the Senna S combination, a part of the track at Interlagos, which he has found difficult all week. The Briton almost slipped off at that section during qualifying today.
