Paul Van Dyk and Tiesto are the artists most attendees of this year's Creamfields are looking forward to seeing at the dance festival, a survey has revealed.

Fatboy Slim and Pendulum were also found to excite festivalgoers heading to the two-day event while the high placing for Kasabian and Ian Brown also revealed that dance fans favour a little rock on the side.

The survey, carried out by the Creamfields organisers, also found that attendees are delighted that they are able to camp at this year's event, with 84 per cent of respondents saying they plan to pitch a tent.

Unsurprisingly, for a festival borne out of the famous Liverpool club, 31 per cent of tickets were bought in the north-west.

However, some nine per cent were sold to international attendees, with some coming from as far afield as Australia.

Cream chief executive James Barton commented: "We've had an amazing response to the survey and it makes for interesting reading I have to say.

"It also proves how vocal our customers are, which is great for us, as it gives us an opportunity to analyse the data and respond to it."
