Dane Bowers, an ex-boyfriend of Katie Price, has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after a car crash near the model's home.
Former boyband member Bowers, 27, and a 26-year-old man were held after a crash near Price's home in Woldingham, Surrey, at 04:20 BST on Tuesday morning.
Both were bailed until June 17th, having been bailed at Reigate police station.
According to the Sun newspaper, Bowers denied driving the Vauxhall Tigra which had crashed into a hedge - and claimed his alibi was that he had been Price, also known as Jordan.
"They were taken to a station to work out who was driving - and that is when Mr Bowers said Jordan could give him an alibi," a police source was quoted by the tabloid as saying.
"Exactly what he was doing with Jordan is not part of the investigation.
"She is just needed to verify where he was when he said. She will be asked if Mr Bowers drove away from the address or if she understands the car was taken."
Price has been a regular fixture in the press of late after it was announced that she was splitting from singer Peter Andre, her husband of three-and-a-half years.
Price had been due to appear on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross this week and was expected to discuss her marriage split but after pulling out of the BBC1 show has been replaced by actress and Gurkhas champion Joanna Lumley.
TV presenter and songwriter Bowers dated Price for two years and is understood to have married his agent Chrissy Johnston two years ago.
