Girls Aloud are tonight sitting pretty atop the UK singles chart for the first time in four years.
The fivesome's latest single The Promise pushed Pink's So What into second place to give the Popstars: The Rivals winners their first number one in four years.
Infinity 2008 by Guru Josh Project was one behind in third, with Kings of Leon's Sex on Fire and Wire to Wire by Razorlight completing the top five.
In the albums chart veteran rockets AC/DC scored their first UK number one album in two decades, with Kaiser Chiefs, Leon Jackson and Katherine Jenkins all making a splash in the top five.
