French-born producer David Guetta has topped the UK singles charts with When Love Takes Over, featuring Kelly Rowland.
The record is a first UK number one for Guetta, a multi-platinum selling artist on the continent.
But after three chart-topping albums he told the Official Charts Company, which compiled today's chart, that he was refusing to be pigeonholed as a DJ.
"I'm not trying to be credible. I'm trying to be incredible."
In the albums chart, Kasabian are again number one with West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum.
