Guantanamo Bay interrogation footage released

Video footage has been released from Guantanamo Bay
A video showing a Guantanamo Bay detainee being interrogated has been released.

The footage shows Omar Khadr, 16, being questioned by officials in 2003 about events leading up to his capture by US forces, Canadian media reports.

Mr Khadr is accused of killing a US solider during a gun battle in Afghanistan in 2002.

During the video, the 16-year-old complains of being tortured and appears to be in a distressed state.

The controversial footage was made public by Mr Khadr's lawyers after a supreme court ruling earlier this year that the government had to hand over evidence against the teenager to allow his defence team to comply a full case.

The 16-year-old is seen crying during the questioning, pulling his hair and holding his head in his hands. He also repeatedly calls: "Help me".
