40 firefighters are tackling the blaze
A woman has been arrested on suspicion of starting a fire at a converted church in west London this morning.
More than 80 firefighters tackled the blaze at the Great Commission Ministry church in Shepherds Bush after the alarm was raised at 07:00 BST.
The fire is thought to have started in a neighbouring hostel before it spread to the church.
The church's roof was completely destroyed and the rest of the building damaged before the fire crews could put the fire out.
Police confirmed a 36-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of arson.
She was homeless and staying at the neighbouring hostel when the incident occurred.
Everyone staying at the hostel was evacuated safely and there are no reported injuries.
