Andy Murray cruised into the fourth round at Wimbledon after another improved performance against Gilles Simon.
The world number four eased through the third round tie 6-1 6-4 6-4 having rarely been troubled by France's 26th seed
The game only started at 19:03 BST on Saturday after 2008 champion Rafael Nadal was unexpectedly taken to five sets by Philipp Petzschner.
Murray though was in no mood to suffer a similar fate or be forced to play under the Centre Court roof in the failing light.
The Scot broke Simon in his very first service game and did not look back, wrapping up the first set in just 23 minutes.
Murray faced slightly sterner opposition in the following two sets after failing to take advantage of a number of break points but ultimately triumphed 6-4 6-4 in the second and third to progress into the fourth round.
Speaking after the game, Murray said: "In terms of the way this week has gone, it's been great, and I'll try and build on it next week.
"It was really good. I didn't lose a set and didn't lose my serve since my second service game of the first match."
Britain's number one will face Sam Querrey in the next round.
