Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti insisted he was happy with his sides lead at the top of the Premier League, despite being held to a 1-1 draw at Hull.
With a game in hand on second-placed Manchester United, the Premier League leaders had the chance to take a four point lead over their title rivals.
However, Hull took the lead through Steven Mouyokolo and although Didier Drogba equalised on his return from the African Cup of Nations, the Blues failed to conjure up a match winning performance in the second-half.
Ancelotti admitted a draw was the right result but insisted he was happy to have a lead over Manchester United.
"We wanted to win," he said.
"it was the right result I think. Both teams played well, it was a very strong game.
"It is a good result. We have two points more than Manchester United,¿ this is good for us.
"It is a long race against Manchester United, we have to keep control of the situation."
Ancelotti also repeated his support for underfire Chelsea captain John Terry, who was jeered throughout the game by Hull fans and rubbished suggestions that headlines would affect his performances.
"No. John is focused on his job. Chelsea is the focus of his job."
