New Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti is adamant club captain John Terry will not be sold to Manchester City.
Big-spending City have had two bids turned down for Terry, but are thought to be preparing a third offer in the region of £40 million. Reports had suggested that Chelsea may be willing to sell their defensive rock for such a large sum of money.
However, Ancelotti has insisted Terry is a major part of his plans and likened him to legendary AC Milan left-back Paulo Maldini.
"John Terry is a symbol of this team," said Ancelotti. "He will be captain next season. He said he wants to stay forever and we want to keep him forever.
"Now there is a question of Man City, but for Terry (there is) no price. Terry will be at Chelsea forever. He said he wants to stay, there is no problem for him with us, the story continues - Chelsea and Terry.
"I like to have a captain like Terry, he is very close to (Paulo) Maldini for professionalism, for quality and he will be the best captain for Chelsea."
Terry has spent over a decade at Stamford Bridge and has made 272 appearances for the club. The 28-year-old has been club captain for six seasons and is adored by the Chelsea fans.
