Tom Hicks not looking to sell Liverpool

Liverpool owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett have denied reports that they are looking to sell the club only a year after buying it.
Dubai International Capital (DIC), who failed with a bid before Americans Hicks and Gillett bought the club for £174 million in February 2007, have been linked with making a bid to buy 50% of the club.
However, a spokesman for Hicks and Gillett said: "Any suggestion Hicks and Gillett are contemplating a sale of the club or any portion of it is categorically untrue."
DIC owner Sameer Al-Ansari admitted that it took him "two weeks to get over [failing to the buy the club] that", and said he was still a Liverpool fan and went to all the matches when he was in the country.
British media reports on Wednesday claimed that Al-Ansari was ready to make another attempt to the buy the club and that if Liverpool's current owners were to sell, then they could make a profit of up £80 million.
The Americans are in the process of renegotiating the loan they took out to buy the club, which is also expected to help fund plans for a new stadium at Stanley Park
But it seems as Hicks and Gillett are still keen to be owners of English football's most successful ever club, even though they have had a difficult time lately.
The duo have come under-pressure from fans recently for the way they have dealt with manager Rafael Benitez. The owners and Benitez fell out after the manager complained about the lack of transfer funds being made available to him.
Hicks and Gillett further mystified the Liverpool fans when they revealed earlier this week that they had talked to Jurgen Klinsmann about the possibility of replacing Benitez as manager.
