Renault unveiled the car in which Fernando Alonso will attempt to win back the Formula One drivers' championship from Lewis Hamilton with the Spaniard saying that the "pressure is off" the Briton in 2009.
"I think there's less pressure on Lewis this year," Alonso said.
"When you win a championship you are a Formula One world champion forever, and it means you can enjoy your racing.
"If you make a mistake in one race you are experienced enough to know you have time to recover. When you are waiting for that first championship there is more stress because you don't want to waste any opportunity.
"Once you have that first title, there is less pressure."
Alonso will be attempting to win his third title in a striking new yellow car, which replaces last years blue and yellow design.
The 27-year-old will begin testing the new car which contains new-look wings as a result of new 2009 regulations later on this week.
Williams also unveiled their new car for 2009 with technical director Sam Michael claiming that the new regulations will make for a more even playing field.
"Under-expect and over-deliver is the best way," said Michael.
"But there is more of a level playing field than for many a year."
