Allardyce still waiting

Sam Allardyce insists he is still in the running for the England and will remain so until the FA informs him otherwise.
FA chief executive Brian Barwick travelled to Lisbon this week to talk to the Portugal manager Luis Felipe Scolari and reports suggest that he has agreed in principle to become the next England manager.
But while, the bookies now have Scolari as the odds-on favourite to land the job, Allardyce refuses to believe that he has been overlooked for the post.
Allardyce said: "As far as I am concerned, all those who have been interviewed for a second time should all feel as though they are still in with a shout.
"One way or the other, you would hope to be told by the FA. You would not want to find out you either had, or had not, got the job by picking up the papers."
The Trotters boss added: "I have no reaction to what has been reported because there has been no official statement. Until I get that official call from Brian Barwick or whoever, I am not at liberty to comment."
Big Sam was one of the favourites alongside Steve McClaren for the job but it appears that the FA have settled for the Brazilian coach nicknamed Big Phil.
Allardyce has been at Bolton since 1999 and has been heavily linked with the England job as well as moving to St James' Park to become the next Newcastle manager.
