David Beckham could end up staying at AC Milan till the end of the Italian season and then return to the Los Angeles Galaxy.
The two clubs are continuing to work out a proposal which would be good for the two clubs and for Beckham. The most likely scenario reportedly being discussed is the possibility of Milan and the Galaxy sharing the services of the England midfielder.
If the two clubs to agree to the proposal, then Beckham will finish the Serie A season with Milan as he is already registered with the club until June. He would then head back to LA, but would join the American side midway through the Major League Soccer (MLS) season as he would have already missed 17 games.
The problem in negotiations may occur over the knowledge that Beckham can buy out his Galaxy contract once the season finishes in October and then join Milan, a scenario which may not favour the Galaxy.
The former England captain has a loan deal with Milan which ends on March 10th and he has made it clear he wants to stay in Italy. Milan are keen to sign Beckham to a permanent deal but are unwilling to pay £10 million the valuation LA Galaxy have put on the midfielder.
But reports claim that the two clubs may still end up agreeing on a permanent transfer, with a final decision expected in the next couple of days.
