Eleven Iraqis have been sentenced to death for their part in a series of truck bombings in Baghdad last August which left 95 people dead.
The attacks targeted Iraq's foreign and finance ministries and wounded over 1,000 people.
The Reuters news agency quotes Abdul Sattar al-Birqdar, a spokesman for the Iraqi supreme judicial council, as confirming the 11 had been sentenced to death on Thursday.
"Today an Iraqi criminal court imposed a death sentence against 11 criminals who have been convicted of implementing, planning and funding the bomb events that targeted the finance and foreign ministries," he said.
The coordinated attack last year saw vehicles exploding around the Iraqi capital, coupled with a barrage of mortar attacks.
Iraq is due to hold national elections in March as the country continues its tentative recovery from the US-led invasion in 2003.
