Crazy Frog held on to number one spot
Crazy Frog's
Axel F ringtone held on to the number one spot in the singles charts on Sunday.
The track, a remix of the theme to the Beverly Hills Cop films by German band Bass Bumpers, kept Coldplay off the top of the charts last week.
This week it restricted
Lonely by hip-hop star Akon to number two in the charts, preventing it from returning to number one a month after originally taking top spot.
Oasis topped the album chart with their latest offering
Don't Believe The Truth, with
Demon Days by Gorillaz and Faithless' greatest hits album
Forever Faithless dropping to two and three respectively.
However, the Gallagher brothers' stay at the top of the album chart could be shortlived with Coldplay's new album
X&Y, released this week, becoming the most pre-ordered album ever on amazon.co.uk.
But back on the singles chart there was disappointment for Coldplay as their new single
Speed of Sound fell to number seven after two weeks on the chart.
The top ten singles also included new entries for the Foo Fighters with
Best of You at number four and the White Stripes with
Blue Orchid at number nine.
Feel Good Inc by Gorillaz topped the downloads chart.
