We look at this week's music releases, including Goldfrapp, Be Your Own Pet and The Orb.

They've already clocked up four albums in little over seven years but the ever-prolific Goldfrapp will this week be releasing their fifth album Seventh Tree.

Since their astonishing, Mercury-nominated debut, Felt Mountain, the duo have moved from strength to strength churning out a string of hit singles as well as ever growing commercial and critical success.

Despite a consistently developing musical style the electronica outfit remain on form with Seventh Tree, the new album already having been described as a sensual counterpoint to the glitterball glamour of its predecessor.

More chilled-out electronica comes from ambient-techno outfit The Orb. Currently consisting of DJ/producers Alex Paterson and Thomas Fehlmann, The Orb are best known for their popularising of chill-out music throughout the early to mid 90s well before it was caught up by the masses.

The Dream, a 75 minute soundscape of epic beauty, features somewhat of a return to the duo's earlier sound and their first full-length release since 2005's Okie Dokie It's The Orb on Kompakt.

Four years on from her legendary half-time performance at the Super Bowl Janet Jackson returns with tenth studio album Discipline. The album, which sees the R&B star collaborate with producers including Rodney Jerkins and Ne-Yo, is Jackson's first with Island Records, a move that sees her follow in the footsteps of Mariah Carey and Shania Twain.

This new work is the first to be released off the back of last year's announcement that two of Jackson's previous albums Control and Janet were to be included in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 200 definitive albums of all time.

Hitting the shelves with their second album, Be Your Own Pet are still the underground garage-punkers who are waiting intently for the opportunity to bust out into the open. Get Awkward, following their smashing eponymous debut, could well be the ticket they desire.

Having worked their way up from paying free outdoor gigs to their young friends back in Nashville, Tennessee, to a selection of sold-out shows the last time they visited the UK, Be Your Own Pet were originally tipped by the Kings Of Leon's Jared Followill who requested the two bands tour together back home in the States.

No longer get awkward, Get Happy is the new album from jazz singer Claire Teal. The unique singer-songwriter - a vocal talent and accomplished musician - returns with her eighth album, a warm and intimate affair.

The debut album from Los Campesinos, Hold On Now, Youngster is produced by David Newfeld, the man behind the sound of Broken Social Scene. A frenetic mix of indie pop from, the are a seven-piece group harking from Cardiff.

Finally, Sebastian Tellier, the electronica-songwriter releases new album Sexuality this week. The record, produced by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo of Daft Punk, showcases the Frenchman's intellectual approach to electronica and R&B.

Described already by de Homem-Christo as "the best singer and composer in France today", Sebastien Tellier's third album follows the critically acclaimed Universe.
