The Tudors, Smallville and Ugly Betty in this week's biggest shows hitting the DVD shelves.
There's a new portion of bodice-ripping and courtly intrigue on offer as season two of The Tudors comes to DVD this week.
Jonathan Rhys Meyers return as Henry VIII in a second instalment that chronicles the monarch's effect on English Christianity as his divorce from Catherine of Aragon leaves him free to marry Anne Boleyn (Natalie Dormer) and ready to start the Reformation by seizing Catholic assets in England.
But with Anne unable to produce a male heir, a bloody end awaits.
All 22 episodes of season seven of Smallville are released this week, as the residents of the quiet Kansas town continue to be plagued by the outlandish adventures of Kal-El.
Clark's (Tom Welling) cousin Kara (Laura Vandervoort), also known as Supergirl, and an evil Clark lookalike named Bizarro enter the fray while Brainiac (James Marsters) returns, Chloe (Allison Mack) struggles with her new kryptonite-induced abilities and the truth about Lana Lang (Kristin Kreuk) emerges.
The award-winning Ugly Betty returns for a second season this week, in "Brighter, Bolder, Bettyer" form, apparently.
Betty (America Ferrara) tackles the issue of Henry (Christopher Gorham) having got Charlie pregnant, Amanda (Becki Newton) tries to find her father and Marc (Michael Urie) finds love in a season that was curtailed by the Hollywood writers' strike.
And finally, there's a fourth season of Massachussetts drama in the shape of Boston Legal and season five of Sin City saga Las Vegas, now featuring Tom Selleck as billionaire rancher and new casino owner AJ Cooper.
