We check out the latest TV DVD releases, including CSI Miami, The Shield and The Two Ronnies.

All DVDs out July 2nd.

The first part of series four of CSI Miami: Crime Scene Investigation is out next week, containing 12 episodes.

CSI Miami was the first full-series spin-off of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, launching two years after the original in 2002.

It stars nice-guy David Caruso as Lieutenant Horatio Caine and Emily Procter as Detective Calleigh Duquesne.

In series four of the Florida spin-off, the forensic scientists at the Miami-Dade police department are faced with the usual raft of grisly crimes to investigate, including the murder of a woman filing divorce proceedings with a nail gun.

Other episodes see Lt Caine reopening the unsolved rape of a woman a decade ago, a crossover episode with CSI: New York about a convicted serial killer who escapes by sabotaging a plane and an investigation into the darker side of Miami's club scene.

The entire fourth series of gritty US cop drama The Shield is released, which is notable for the addition of Oscar-nominated actress Glenn Close to the cast.

Close stars as incoming Captain Monica Rawling and enlists the help of dodgy detective Vic Mackey (Fantastic Four actor Michael Chiklis), dubbed 'Al Capone with a badge'.

Despite a clash of ideologies the pair team up in a bid to bring down drug empire overlord Antwon Mitchell.

The rest of the series deals with the continued fallout from the disbandment of Vic's Strike Team, while Captain Rawling has her own run-ins with the DEA to deal with.

Also getting a DVD release this week, more than 30 years after it first broadcast on BBC1, is the second series of The Two Ronnies.

The sketch show was a massive hit during its 16-year run, regularly attracting audiences of more than 17 million.

It also made household names of the late Ronnie Barker and his comedy partner in crime Ronnie Corbett.
