Johnny Depp stars as the demon barber in Sweeney Todd
Sweeney Todd, Bee Movie and My Kid Could Paint That in this week's biggest movie DVDs.

Golden Globes and Oscar in hand, Sweeney Todd comes to DVD this week, with Johnny Depp doing his very best David Bowie impression as the demon barber of Fleet Street.

Having been unjustly exiled to Australia by the evil Judge Turpin (Alan Rickman) who coveted his beautiful wife, Benjamin Barker returns to London as the murderous Sweeney Todd singing of his "friends" - or cutthroat razors - and forming a deadly partnership with Mrs Lovett (Helena Bonham Carter), maker of the "worst pies in London".

Tim Burton directs with the bloodthirsty glee you'd expect, while Borat himself, Sacha Baron Cohen, steals the show as Todd's ludicrously-accented rival. As you'd expect, Todd's uppance must - and does - come.

Comedy legend Jerry Seinfeld makes a welcome return to the public eye with Bee Movie, out on DVD this week, having been named in the best animated feature category during today's Golden Globes nominations.

Dreamworks took another crack at the CGI crown with this effort, the tale of Barry B Benson's (Seinfeld) effort to right the wrongs inflicted on the bee race by human 'honey-stealers'.

After a raft of under-par animated comedies, it's a joy to hear Seinfeld's observational comedy cropping up on screen for the first time in years, and familiar voices like Chris Rock, Uma Thurman and Patrick Warburton crop up to add a sting to an underdone script.

Renee Zellweger does sterling work with an easily-forgettable part and though it's not on a par with anything from the Pixar stable - what is?

Take a behind-the-scenes look at the film here:

Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai stars in Jodhaa Akbar, a beautifully-shot 16th-century romance also released on DVD this week, while eastern European horror The Abandoned tells of American Marie (Anastasia Hille) who returns to the family estate in Russia to find an unpleasant supernatural residue remaining.

A role in a quaint British drama might not seem especially fitting for OC star Mischa Barton, following her recent brush with the law, but Sir Richard Attenborough's Closing The Ring sees her do just that.

Barton stars as Ethel Ann, the young incarnation of a pensioner (Shirley MacLaine) reminiscing about her wartime love as her daughter Marie (Neve Campbell) listens intently.

Also released this week is Saawariya, a visually-stunning Bollywood/Hollywood combination detailing the love triangle between musician Raj (Ranbir Kapoor), Sakina (Sonam Kapoor) and her missing lover Imaan (Salman Kahn),

Finally, My Kid Could Paint That tells the fascinating story of Marla Olmstead, whose artwork as a four- and five-year-old fetched five-figure sums but heightened the debate about the true value of abstract artistic creations.
