Based on the top-selling, award-winning videogame, Max Payne (Wahlberg) is an undercover cop fighting for justice while uncovering plot-twists and twisted thugs in the gritty streets of New York. While trying to solve a series of murders he comes across an assassin (Kunis) out to avenge her sister's death. The duo will be hunted by the police, the mob, and a ruthless corporation.
Max Payne joins the DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) after his baby daughter and wife are slaughtered in their house by psychotic junkies high on a new designer drug. While tracking the drug to the mafia Payne is framed for the murder himself and becomes entwined in a heavy conspiracy.
