Kate Moss is rumoured to be facing the axe from trendy make-up range Rimmel because she is too old.
The yummy mummy of one isn't short of modelling and advertising contracts. From designer lingerie line Agent Provocateur to Virgin mobile and classic fashion houses such as Chanel and Versace, the face of Kate is loved by all brands. However, Rimmel may be thinking twice about its deal with the troubled supermodel.
A source told the News of the World newspaper that "age catches up with everyone, even Kate. But she hasn't been told anything by Rimmel".
Kate, whose tumultuous relationship with Babyshambles rocker Pete Doherty is regular tabloid fodder, is also feeling the pressures of looking young and fresh-faced. "At 33 she's getting on in terms of modelling", the source said, adding "she recently moaned about her face, saying she needed botox".
The trendy make-up brand considered dropping Kate two years ago during her cocaine scandal but decided to stick with her. But if the rumours are true then Rimmel could be dumping Kate for a younger model.
"Rimmel is a range for the younger market so that worried them. Now bosses are looking for younger models who can give the brand a fresh approach. Girls have been contacted in secret," the source said.
