Ken Russell walks

Sunday, 07 Jan 2007 20:38
It was all too much for our Ken
Film director Ken Russell has become the second celebrity to leave this year's Celebrity Big Brother.

The 79-year-old, Big Brother's oldest ever contestant, told Big Brother he wanted to leave after a bust-up with loud-mouthed Jade.

Sadly the two came to blows over food, unsurprisingly. According to Big Brother's rules, Ken has to be waited upon hand and foot, having all his food fed to him by a servant.

Unfortunately his hunger got the better of him, however, as he raided the stores for some crackers and cheese to keep himself going.

"That's out of order, we'll fail the task and they won't be able to eat," Jade said when she caught him in the act of consuming the unlawful food.

"You just cost us the task because you couldn't wait for your hungry belly," she moaned.

Ken couldn't care less about the task, however, describing the servants as "trash" and "slaves".

"I think you're slightly demented, darling," Ken told an emotionally fraught Jade. "You should be put in a strait jacket."

Although the two made up Ken wasn't having any of it, departing soon afterwards.End of story
