Claire seems to be Shayne's goal
Singer Shayne Ward set tongues wagging at the Soap Awards when he was spotted holding hands with blonde actress Claire Goose.
The 21-year-old winner of X Factor couldn't tear himself away from former Casualty star Claire, 31, according to the Sunday Mirror.
Shayne, who was at the event to present the Sexiest Female award to EastEnders' Louisa Lytton, later took Claire into his dressing room.
An insider told the newspaper: "Claire and Shayne looked very happy and relaxed in each other's company."
Although the pair say they are just good friends, any hint of a possible relationship could cause trouble for both of them.
Shayne has been going out with childhood sweetheart Faye McKeever for more than two years, while Claire is seeing writer Craig Woodrow.
A friend of Shayne's insisted: "They were together because Shayne was asked to pose for a picture."
Meanwhile, EastEnders scooped a plethora of prizes - the prestigious Best Soap award, the Best Actress award (Lacey Turner who plays Stacey Slater) and Best Actor award (Ross Kemp for Grant Mitchell).
