Freema Agyeman is to return to play her character Martha Jones in the forthcoming series of Doctor Who.
David Tennant's extremely successful stint as the Time Lord is now into its fourth series but he is already on to his third assistant, Catherine Tate as Donna Noble, after the Billie-Piper-replacing Agyeman exited earlier this year.
The 28-year-old now returns, however, in an episode due to air next year.
"I am delighted to be back filming on Doctor Who with David and Catherine," Agyeman said.
"Martha Jones returns in a fantastic storyline and the fans will get to see her in a whole new light!"
She will not be the only familiar face for Doctor Who fans, however. The Sontarans, one of the Doctor's enemies when Jon Pertwee occupied the Tardis in the 1970s, will also be back.
A trip to Pompeii and a meeting with crime writer Agatha Christie will also feature in the new series, which will feature guest appearances from Felicity Kendal, Sarah Lancashire and Blackadder's Tim McInnerny.
