Waking the Witch going out with a bang on final tour

Leeds band Waking the Witch say goodbye this year.
As performers such as Claire Toomey and Envy & Other Sins embark on their musical careers others are in the process of winding theirs down.
One example is indie acoustic outfit Waking the Witch who are splitting up this year but not before going out with a bang.
The Leeds-based all-girl band's last hurrah includes a gig at the Warehouse Theatre in Lossiemouth, Scotland on February 28th.
Waking the Witch is made up of Rachel Goodwin, Patsy Matheson, Becky Mills and Jools Parker. The group formed in 2003 and took the UK's acoustic scene by storm in 2004.
Their music is a mix of roots, blues, rock and jazz and their three albums showcase this innovative fusion.
Like Everybody was their debut LP in 2004 and that was followed by Hands And Bridges a year later.
Recently they released their third and final album Boys From The Abbatoir.
Waking the Witch have performed at numerous festivals including Glastonbury and Cambridge.
An appearance at the Leeds Independent Music Awards in January 2006 attracted the attention of producer Dave Creffield, who has worked with the Kaiser Chiefs and Embrace.
Creffield produced Waking the Witch's final album which was released earlier this year, and adds a pulsing rhythm section to bolster the band's already lush sound.
