Other Reviews

Picture This is the debut single from the Talks that mixes the swagger of Arctic Monkeys and the fun-loving sensibilities of early Supergrass into a musical Molotov cocktail.

Recorded at the famous Chapel Studios, Picture This is a summery anthem from the aspiring four-piece which formed in 2006.

Picture This, mixed by Ewan Davies, who has worked with Editors and the Arctic Monkeys, is due to be released on July 28th.

The Talks have drawn acclaim from Robert Plant and the Clash's Mick Jones.

Creation Records founder Alan McGee was in awe of the band when they played at his west London club night Death Disco.

The Talks have also impressed Steve Lamacq and Phill Jupitus, who said after seeing them live: "The flame of good music still burns bright."

Last year, the band played at Glastonbury alongside Jamie T and Dirty Pretty Things, and lead singer Pat Pretorius was invited to perform on stage with Keith Allen.
