Lightspeed Champion, a mixture of David Gray and the groovier side of REM, may just have to live up to their name as they intend to play three gigs on the same night in London later this week.

Then the band dashes off to Fabric in Farringdon to play as part of Adventures In The Beetroot Field. They will perform in Room 2 alongside the likes of Envelopes, Untitled Musical Project, S**tdisco and Theoretical Girl. Lightspeed Champion's stage time is scheduled for 01:00.

Playing the trio of London shows is the just the start of a busy period for the band. On Friday October 19th they pitch up at Liverpool's Barfly supporting The Cribs in association with the MTV 2 Gonzo tour.

A solo appearance is lined up for Sunday October 21st at the Lock Tavern in London's Camden Town then Lightspeed Champion is heading to Brazil for two shows at the Tim Festival in Rio De Janeiro and Sao Paulo on October 26th and 27th.
