Singer-songwriter Kaki King is due to release her new album Dreaming Of Revenge on June 30th.

The talented artist, whose unorthodox approach to the acoustic guitar, captured the hearts and minds of British audiences in 2007 with the release of her previous album Until We Felt Red.

Now she looks set to capitalise on that success with her new LP which features 11 tracks and a bonus song.

Dreaming Of Revenge is on Cooking Vinyl and hits the shops on June 30th.

King has developed over her last two LPs into a fully-fledged composer, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist.

Until We Felt Red, released in the UK last November, was produced with John McEntire, whose CV includes Tortoise and Stereolab.

For her new album, King teamed up with sonic texturalist Malcolm Burn. Together they have crafted an album that boasts King’s tender vocals, drums, keys, bass, electric guitar as well as her trademark acoustic guitar and gorgeously left-field melodies.

Aside from her own music, King has been nominated for best original score at the Golden Globe awards for soundtrack work on Sean Penn's Into The Wild.

She also appeared in August Rush from Kirsten Sheridan where her hands played the main character's guitar parts.

King was the only female to be listed in Rolling Stone magazine's New Gods Of Guitar feature and she guested on the Foo Fighters' latest album.

She also toured internationally with the Foo Fighters and has performed on BBC2's Later... with Jools Holland.
