Gary Numan's forthcoming UK tour will only feature songs from Replicas, his 1979 album.

The Replicas UK Tour 2008 follows on from 2006's highly successful Classic Album Telekon Tour, and Numan plans on performing just the material, including the B-sides, from the Replicas LP.

Numan's conventional tour sets feature material from his more recent albums including Jagged and Pure; however, he's become increasingly aware that fans, both old and new, would like to hear a larger selection of his music.

It's this desire to give his fans what they want that has prompted Numan to create these classic album tours.

Gary Numan rose to prominence in the late '70s with his blending of Kraftwerk synth music to Bowie-styled vocals. He re-invented himself in the late '90s as a brilliant Goth rocker with alternative overtones in the vein of Nine Inch Nails.

The Replicas tour opens at Bristol Academy on February 29th; Sheffield Corporation on March 1st; Glasgow ABC (2nd); Belfast Spring and Airbrake (3rd); Dublin Tripod (4th) and Nottingham Rock City (5th).

It continues on March 7th at Newcastle Academy; Manchester Academy (8th); Norwich UEA (9th); Wolverhampton Wulfren Hall (10th); Cambridge The Junction (11th); Brighton Dome (12th) and Oxford Academy on the 13th.

The tour reaches Southampton University on the 14th and wraps up on March 15th at London Indigo 2.

However, it's not just retro goodness for Numan as he's working on his new album Splinter and his latest DVD Jagged Live is out now.
