Lisa Kudrow facing legal action from former manager
Lisa Kudrow is facing legal action from her former manager over unpaid commissions, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
A suit filed by Scott Howard in the Los Angeles Superior Court last Friday claims that the Friends actress has failed to pay him commissions owed despite her terminating his contract in 2007.
Howard became the Emmy winner's manager in 1991 with an initial agreement that his commitment would represent ten per cent of the actress' earnings.
The pair agreed to modify their contract following the success of Friends, with Howard initially committing to forego commissions on Kudrow's residual earnings and later dropping his commission rate to five per cent.
However, his legal action claims that since his firing in 2007, the 45-year-old actress has failed to pay him commissions owed for Friends and other work she performed while he was her manager.
While he has declined to seek a figure for the alleged lost earnings, he is seeking damages of at least $50,000 (£25,614).
Kudrow's co-star in Friends, Matt Le Blanc, is also facing a lawsuit from his former manager.
Camille Cerio claimed in July that she is owed $1 million (£512,293) from the actor's earnings, including his failed spinoff series Joey.
