Gary Oldman, he of Leon, Dracula and now Dark Knight fame, has confirmed that a gaming adaptation of the hit film is being made.
Speaking to G4 TV in a video interview, Oldman spoke of making Batman's gliding mechanic feel fluid, rather than stop-start in "the videogame".
Oldman didn't name the developer or the publisher working on the project, but industry speculation has already linked Pandemic and EA with it.
He also spoke of a scene in which his character, Lieutenant Jim Gordon, is on a rooftop "not doing anything" before Batman "jumps off the building and opened his wings to fly away and save the day."
Nothing was said of the possible game at the E3 gaming festival, which coincided with the launch of The Dark Knight in cinemas.
Alleged publisher Electronic Arts has had nothing to say about the project as of yet.
