Easy read, chick-lit, depressing, frustrating, enjoyable
What's it all about?
A new take on the chick-lit genre, a young woman goes manic after finding her boyfriend has been having an affair, but instead of telling him she knows, she sets out to ruin his other relationship and keep him for herself.
As an example…
"By the time I have shut the bathroom door behind me I am crying. This is not us. This is not how we are. I don't feel sexy and powerful any more, I just feel like s**t... I didn't know it was possible to feel this bad about myself. How have things come to this?"
Likelihood of becoming a Hollywood blockbuster
Perhaps, but ending is currently a little bleak to appeal to romance fans or Bridget Jones devotees.

This is a bit of a strange one. It sets itself up as another chick-lit outing. We have our attractive, successful heroine, with gorgeous boyfriend and crew of eccentric friends, yet we meet her on the verge of a complete breakdown. Over two weeks, Mia's life is turned upside down as she discovers the details of her boyfriend's affair. Yet instead of confronting him and throwing him out on his ear, she trashes the house and begins a secret campaign to bring down his other lover and drive them apart.
Reading this book is like watching a car crash in slow motion, you are constantly frustrated that she does not get rid of this loser and it is only on the last page, with her supposed victory, that she may have finally opened her eyes.
This was an unusual approach to romance novels, and worked well for it, but I like to see bad guys get what's coming and I'm not sure it happened here!
