Londoners and Dubliners should be proud of their roots because they have been rated as the friendliest locals in Europe.
Although it might come as a shock to those who think London's commuters can be a bit grumpy, a worldwide survey has found that the capitals of England and Ireland are home to the most hospitable people.
But sorry to those that are Greek or Russian - the poll also found that the residents of Athens and Moscow are the most unwelcoming.
The TripAdvisor survey of 1,800 globetrotters revealed that Rome is the most popular destination in Europe, closely followed by Venice.
Italy, home to beautiful architecture, magnificent scenery and perfect pizza, is the top country for a holiday.
Respondents this year favoured western Europe more than their counterparts last year, who rated eastern Europe as the best holiday spot.
A survey spokesman said: "We are seeing a trend shift with travellers now favouring classic popular destinations.
"With all of the incredible variety Europe has to offer, it was surprising that the top two cities according to travellers were both in Italy."
