Although celebrities are known for their ridiculous dressing room demands Madonna has trumped them all with her toilet seat requests.
The singer insists that a brand new toilet seat is installed each night in her dressing room during her Confessions world tour, the Daily Mirror reports. Plumbers install the seats after Madonna's people have "inspected it".
Despite an understandable incredulity from the public about the request, Madonna's spokeswoman Liz Rosenburg doesn't seem to think that it's unusual.
"Who wouldn't want a new toilet seat wherever they go?" Ms Rosenburg said.
The demands do not end there however. The queen of pop also asks for three candles to protect her from negative vibes, a love seat, a foot spa with lavender and white drapes and white roses so that she is surrounded by the symbolic colour of her Kabbalah faith.
Although a special concert planned to air on the US television channel CBS two years ago never emerged, Madonna is to try again for her first ever broadcast network performance during one of her November concerts. Camera crews will film a two-hour special for US channel NBC at London's Wembley Arena.
"Madonna is one of the greatest artists of our time and never fails to generate excitement," says Kevin Reilly, president of NBC Entertainment. "We think this is going to be a big event for television."
