Amy Winehouse is still hoping to perform at Glastonbury Festival and the Nelson Mandela charity concert, despite having been hospitalised.

The troubled singer was taken to the London Clinic in Marylebone on Monday and kept in for observation after she fainted near her Camden home in north London.

Though doctors were initially unsure as to the cause of the incident, Winehouse's spokesman had said the Back to Black star was to return home only for "inconclusive" tests to necessitate a longer stay.

But according to her representative, she is still aiming to perform at the Mandela gig in London's Hyde Park on June 27th before appearing at Glastonbury on the following day.

"At present she still intends to perform at her two scheduled dates next week," her spokesperson told the BBC.

"However the decision will be made entirely on the advice of her doctors and in her best interests."

"Amy has undergone more scans and tests today and we are awaiting the verdict of her doctors."

She had been signing autographs for Canadian fans who had been waiting outside her house all day when she passed out on Monday.

The Grammy-winner was admitted to a hospital in London suffering from "severe exhaustion" last year, and later reports claimed she was being treated in a rehabilitation facility.

Police confirmed in May that Winehouse would not face charges over a video that purported to show her smoking a crack cocaine pipe, though two people were charged in connection with the footage.

She was, however, cautioned by police earlier this year after admitting a common assault following an incident in Camden, north London.

Her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, is currently on trial in south London having admitted charges of assault and attempting to pervert the course of justice.
