Shut Your Eyes... send fans to sleep
inthenews.co.uk's Lewis Bazley is underwhelmed by the brilliantly-named Shut Your Eyes and You'll Burst Into Flames at the Camden Crawl 2008.
An At the Drive-In throb announces the entry of Shut Your Eyes... but unlike the unhinged yelp of Cedric Bixler, there's not a slight bit of inspiration here, unless self-indulgent walks among the audience and producing some bizarre hybrid between hardcore and the Rapture count as something exciting.
The effect is only markedly worsened by the fact that the bassist looks like Superbad's Jonah Hill... whose motor-mouthed one-liners would be far preferable to this stagnant mess.
