Paris Is Burning on Ladyhawke's debut single
Taking her name from an obscure 80s fantasy film electro-pop princess Ladyhawke releases her new single Paris Is Burning through Modular Recordings at the end of June.

Paris Is Burning is the follow-up to the download-only Back Of The Van and is out June 30th and features exclusive remixes by Peaches, Alex Gopher and Kid Gloves.

The original version of Paris Is Burning is a sultry slice of instantly likeable pop while the Peaches remix is a sexed-up floor-filler that effortlessly lends itself to Ladyhawke's distinct vocals.

Chipping in with a breezy late 80s Baby Ford vibe is the Alex Gopher remix, the third track on the CD single.

The fourth track on the single is the Kid Gloves remix that has superb electro-funk/house sensibilities.

Ladyhawke is the alter ego of New Zealander Pip Brown who grew up in the 80s listening to Stevie Nicks, Deep Purple and Joan Jett.

Starting out as a drummer in a school band, Brown now plays more than ten instruments. A few years ago she moved to Sydney in Australia but now lives in London.

While living in London she wrote her forthcoming debut album which is due for a September release.
