U2's Edge and Bono set for third best of album
U2 are to release a third best of album next month which will include their latest collaboration with Green Day.

The Irish rockers joined the band to perform The Saints Are Coming last week at a ceremony to mark the reopening of the Louisiana Superdome following its destruction a year earlier by Hurricane Katrina.

Copies of the song will be available to download from October 30th and as a CD single from November 6th.

In addition to that track, the best of album will include another brand new song as well as 16 of the band's best-known songs.

Both new tracks were recorded last month at London's famous Abbey Road studios and were produced by Rick Rubin.

According to the band's website the as-yet untitled best of album will be released on November 20th.

U2's previous best of albums consist of songs released in two eras, 1980 to 1990 and 1990 to 2000.
