The king of Bahrain's son is suing Michael Jackson for $7 million (£4.7 million) for allegedly reneging on a recording contract.
Sheikh Abdulla Bin Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa has filed a breach of contract case at the high court in London regarding a contract the pair are believed to have signed in 2006.
The legal action comes a week after the self-styled King of Pop was forced to give up the deeds to his Neverland ranch in California.
Jackson and the Sheikh became friends during the singer's six-month stay in Bahrain three years ago, where he had reportedly moved "to relax" after being acquitted of child abuse charges.
Sheikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al-Khalifa alleges that the Thriller star promised to produce a new album for Khalifa's 2 Seas Records, the proceeds of which would allow the pop star to repay loans from the Sheikh.
Jackson, 50, says the monies he received from Khalifa were gifts and a recording deal was never finalised.
The case is to be heard this afternoon (Monday November 17th).
