Cerys Matthews headlines the Rock 'n' Roots festival
Admittedly, it's been a while since Buzz Towers have been open for business but now we're back to provide you with the lowdown on who's playing where and when including Nightwish, Dressed To Kill and Cerys Matthews.

Touted as the UK's number one metal festival, Bloodstock Open Air will rock Derbyshire next month.

The three-day fest explodes upon Catton Hall in Walton On Trent on August 15th to 17th with three stages; a market, camping and karaoke.

On the line-up are Finnish operatic rockers Nightwish, the majestic Soilwork, Opeth and Alestorm.

Top Kiss tribute act Dressed To Kill are touring the UK from July to December.

The tour starts on July 24th at Derby's Rock and Blues Festival; Birmingham Asylum (25th); Crewe Limelight (Aug 29th); Stourbridge Rockcafe 2000 (30th) and Dumfries The Venue on September 19th.

They play Aberdeen Drummonds on September 20th and Kirkwall Fusion on the 21st. The tour continues on the 26th at Sutton In Ashfield Diamond.

Glasgow's Renfrew Ferry is next on the 27th followed by Nuneaton Queens Hall on October 31st.

On November 29th they play Bradford Gasworks and the tour wraps at The Standard in Walthamstow on December 6th.

Herefordshire's Rock 'n' Roots festival on August 23rd to 25th promises an eclectic mix with Cerys Matthews headlining.

The former Catatonia frontwoman is joined on the line-up by the Wurzels, Marillion, Jefferson Starship and the Animals.

The three-day event takes place at Much Marcle in Herefordshire.

Catch the Quo at Cyfarthfa Castle in Merthyr Tydfil on Saturday July 26th.

Bluegrass rockers Hayseed Dixie play three UK dates early this month.

On July 5th they'll perform at Mansfield Intake then Holmfirth Picturedrome on the 6th. The third date is July 8th at Sale Waterside.

Blood Sweat And Tears celebrate their 40th anniversary with a gig at the London Astoria on September 17th.

The Indigo 02 in London is the venue for Ted Nugent Live on July 14th.

Nineties indie heroes the Wonder Stuff will play Birmingham Carling Academy on October 30th and London's Shepherds Bush Empire on the 31st.

Uriah Heep are coming to the capital on November 23rd to play the London Astoria.

The godfather of shock rock and golfing buddy of Ronnie Corbett, Alice Cooper is lined up to perform at Southampton Guildhall on July 25th.

Peroxide rocker Billy Idol has two UK dates later this month.

He will play Manchester Apollo on July 30th and London Brixton Academy on the 31st.

The farewell album from Canadian melodic rockers Harem Scarem comes out on July 7th.
