Ronson and Winehouse 'working' on Bond theme

Amy Winehouse and Mark Ronson developing theme song for the next Bond film
Amy Winehouse and Mark Ronson are developing a theme song for Quantum of Solace, the next Bond film, he has confirmed.

But as the song has not been officially signed up as the theme for the 22nd Bond movie, there are no guarantees the 60s-inspired sounds of Winehouse and Ronson will soundtrack the upcoming exploits of England's most lethal weapon.

"Hopefully it will get used. We're working on it and we'll see happens," Ronson told BBC 6 Music.

"They asked Amy, and I think Amy said that if she did it, she'd want to do it with me. So hopefully something will come of it," he told the station's Music Week's show.

"The demo sounds like a James Bond theme, hopefully. But I don't know if it'll get used."

Though rumours have long been persisted that Winehouse is to join the likes of Sheena Easton, Wings, Carly Simon, Tina Turner, Dame Shirley Bassey and Madonna in singing a Bond theme, Ronson stressed that no decisions have been made and that competition is likely to be fierce.

He added: "I'm sure there are loads more really famous people that probably we're competing with and we don't know about. I'm not sure.

"But hopefully I'll still be alive for at least 12 more Bond themes. If we don't get this one maybe we'll get another one."

Quantum of Solace is released on October 31st.End of story
