Tickets for Oasis' first UK tour in two years sold out in less than one hour on Wednesday morning.
Some 180,000 tickets for the Mancunians' 18-date tour were snapped up as fans swarmed on ticketing sites in a bid to see Oasis onstage.
The Shock of the Lightning, the new single from the band's upcoming album Dig Out Your Soul, was recently previewed on Alex Zane's XFM show and looks to have inspired fans to see the Gallagher brothers in action.
Box office phone lines were jammed while thousands of fans queued for tickets outside Wembley Arena and venues in Bournemouth, Sheffield and Glasgow.
"The demand for tickets this morning was just immense," said a spokesman on Wednesday.
"All the ticket sites slowed down severely but nothing crashed and the system worked very smoothly."
He added: "We want to thank the fans for their patience and look forward to seeing you all at the shows."
